2025 OR Manager Conference unveils next-level leadership strategies for ASCs and beyond

Editor’s Note

Leaders in ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and perioperative services will converge at the 39th annual OR Manager Conference, to be held October 28–30, 2025, at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, of which the program agenda was just announced. Designed for professionals who juggle operational efficiency, profitability, vendor partnerships, and innovative staff training, the event will offer targeted education, dynamic networking, and key insights to help attendees stay ahead in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape.

The agenda’s specialized content addresses everything from finance and budgeting to digital automation solutions and cross-training staff to optimize patient care. ASC attendees looking to broaden their services can learn about implementing new service lines—such as complex spine and total joint procedures—and also discover how to use benchmark data to make evidence-based decisions. Other sessions will cover strategies to combat workplace violence, foster OR and SPD collaboration, and enhance safety and satisfaction standards.

While there is a dedicated ASC track, leaders who attend can explore six additional tracks focusing on critical areas such as leadership skills, business and technology, workforce optimization, and perianesthesia care. New and novice leaders can gain valuable foundational skills, while seasoned professionals can refine advanced management techniques. Among the featured topics are interdisciplinary communication improvements, future-focused staffing solutions, and embracing guiding principles from the 16th century Samurai Code—remarkably relevant to modern leadership.

In an era of staffing shortages and heightened patient expectations, perioperative leaders in any size facility should seek solutions for future planning, onboarding, upskilling teams, and optimizing operations. By embracing fresh ideas, data-driven practices, and emerging technologies, attendees can not only refine their leadership approach but also drive meaningful improvements in patient outcomes and organizational efficiency.

Join the OR Manager Conference to gain new insights, network with industry innovators, and cultivate effective leadership strategies—ensuring your perioperative services are equipped for success in 2025 and beyond.
