Benchmark Questionnaire on OR Operations Best Practices—Part 2 Now Open

Part 2 of the Benchmark Questionnaire is now open. We ask that you take 10 minutes to participate in Part 2 of this survey to help highlight best OR practices for our readers.

There is scarce information currently available about perioperative industry averages and OR operations best practices. OR Manager, as the leading source where perioperative managers and directors go to find answers to current problems, is leading the effort to pool information for both inpatient and outpatient facilities in 7 key areas of OR operations. 

With these surveys, we hope to benchmark OR operations key performance indicators (KPIs) in the above areas and share leading best practices against which individual facilities can measure their own KPIs. We urge anyone who runs an OR to share their experience so we can make available this much needed data. Responses are voluntary and anonymous, and no personal identifying information will be shared.

Part 1 of this 2-part survey covered the following areas: preference cards, first-case on time starts, sterile processing management, and case cancellations. Part 2 will cover block management, preop practices, and room turnover.
