The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has extended the deadline to attest to achieving “Meaningful Use” in 2015 to March 11, the February 12 MedCity News reports. The original deadline had been February 29.
CMS announced the extension in an e-mail to providers and health IT vendors on February 11.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, here's a reason to hate Meaningful Use just a little bit less. (Let's face it, MU isn't getting much love these days, so we'll take slightly less hate.) The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has extended the deadline to attest to achieving Meaningful Use in 2015 by nearly two weeks, to March 11 at 11:59 pm Eastern time.
