CORE Institute partners with Joint Commission, CDC on outpatient infection prevention

The Center for Orthopedic Research and Education (CORE Institute), a group of orthopedic surgeons and neurologists based in Phoenix, Arizona, will be collaborating with the Joint Commission and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on an infection prevention initiative for freestanding ambulatory healthcare settings, the July 31 AZ Business Magazine reports.

The goal of the 3-year initiative, called “ADOPT (Adaptation and Dissemination Outpatient Infection Prevention) Guidance,” is to create model infection prevention plans and expand the reach and adoption of these and other guidance materials to prevent infections in outpatient settings.

 

The CORE Institute, powered by Excellence Headquarters, will be collaborating with The Joint Commission and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on an initiative designed to adapt, enhance and disseminate CDC guidance related to infection prevention and control in ambulatory health care settings.
