Editor's Note
ECRI Institute announced July 17 that it will continue providing services of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ’s) National Guideline Clearinghouse (NCG), which was shut down because of lack of funding.
The federal government has relied on ECRI Institute to maintain the NCG since its inception 20 years ago.
ECRI Institute’s new guideline resource will provide a centralized source of current, evidence-based clinical practice guideline summaries and other information. An interim website will launch this fall, with additional features planned in the near future.
Participating guideline developers will be able to access and contribute to the new website, www.ecri.org/guidelines, free of charge.
