Editor's Note
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on March 3 posted the recall by B. Braun Medical Inc of its nationwide recall of five lots of 0.9% Sodium Chloride for Injection USP 250 ml in Excel.
The recall was initiated because of fluid leakage or low fill volume of the containers, which could cause a break in sterility and lead to bloodstream infections. The company has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.
Lot numbers are: J1E086, J1E204, J1E213, J1H137, and J1H138. Distribution dates were June 15 to October 29, 2021.
