The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on September 10 posted the announcement by Pharm D Solutions, LLC, (Houston, Texas) that it had voluntarily issued a recall of all sterile compounded drugs because of a potential lack of sterility.
The company says concerns about practices at the pharmacy that pose a risk of contamination of sterile products arose after a routine inspection by the FDA.
The recall encompasses all sterile drug products that were dispensed within the last 12 months. The pharmacy has not received any reports of adverse events related to the recall.
