Hybrid OR exhibit: An innovative, experiential learning opportunity

Understanding the next generation of operating rooms was the theme of a breakout session at the OR Manager Conference on Monday, October 2, that covered the A to Z of hybrid suites. Attendees were invited to further tap the wisdom of hybrid OR experts and ask any “burning questions” during a happy hour with members of the Hybrid OR Steering Committee.

More education was available on October 3 through multiple product demonstrations by hybrid OR equipment vendors and a Q&A Town Hall session with the Hybrid OR Steering Committee. Attendees learned about the latest technology and best uses for these unique ORs. Steering committee members fielded questions from the audience, sharing insights and advice based on their own experience with hybrid ORs.

The hybrid OR exhibit and town hall sessions have greatly expanded since the 2014 launch to assist anyone involved in building or renovating a hybrid OR.
