“Legacy Nurse Engagement” survey open until November 1

Editor's Note

In order to address the current (and future) nursing shortage, a “Legacy Think Tank” has been established for the purpose of generating viable options to engage retired nurses to play a role in alleviating this shortage. Joanne Oliver, BSN, RN, CNOR, and her team are asking for any OR managers currently grappling with staffing shortages to complete this survey, which will help to identify engagement opportunities and ideas that will impact the future direction of perioperative nursing.

This survey is being sent out through several different sources. The survey organizers ask that respondents complete this survey only one time. The participation of nurse leaders, veteran and new leaders alike, will determine the next steps we can take to assist in the shortage of nurses as well as provide extensive options for those nurses who want to continue to share their wealth of knowledge with our profession.
