An annual poll from Gallup found nurses rated the highest among professions in the US for their honesty and ethical standards for the 17th straight year.
A total of 84% of respondents rated the honesty and ethical standards of nurses as “very high” or “high.”
Physicians came in second with 67% rating their honesty and ethical standards as “very high” or “high,” and pharmacists came in third at 66%.
Members of Congress, telemarketers, and car salespeople had the majority of “very low” or “low” ratings.
The bottom line is that healthcare workers, including nurses, physicians, and pharmacists, continue to earn the highest ratings for their honest and ethical standards, a December 20, 2018, report on the poll says.
