OR leaders answer ‘burning questions’ during special roundtable session

OR Manager Conference attendees absorbed the wisdom of past OR Manager of the Year Award winners during a roundtable session on September 23.

The session, moderated by Carol Pehotsky, DNP, RN, CPAN, ACNS-BC from the Cleveland Clinic, provided access to thought leaders who have grappled with every kind of management issue in their long careers.

The expert panel included Kathryn Adamson, MBA, RN, administrative director of perioperative and trauma services at the University of Utah Healthcare; Gail Avigne, MSN, RN, BA, CNOR, principal consultant with Press Ganey Associates, Inc; and Karen Martin, MS, RN, CNOR, NEA-BC, an independent consultant.

New this year, the roundtable was a highlight among the many conference sessions devoted to preparing the future leaders of the OR.
