OR Manager Conference kicks off with exclusive workshops

This year’s OR Manager Conference, back as an in-person event since its last gathering in 2019, features two pre-conference workshops that will present exclusive educational content for participating attendees. The workshops will take place on Tuesday, October 19.

John Rosing, MHA, FACHE, Executive Vice President at Patton Healthcare Consulting, will be speaking at “Mastering Joint Commission Standards and CMS Regulations.” Rosing will identify many problematic Joint Commission standards that are applicable to the OR and invasive procedure areas of hospitals, highlighting how surveyors attempt to assess compliance and sharing methods to ensure a finding-free survey.

Jim Stobinski, PhD, RN, CNOR, CSSM, Chief Executive Officer of Competency & Credentialing Institute, and Beth Bozzelli, MBA, RN, CNOR, CSSM, AVP Surgical Services at HCA Healthcare, will present the “Fundamentals of Operating Room Management - Certificate of Mastery (FORM COM)” program, which is designed to familiarize leaders and managers in surgical services with the skills and knowledge needed to perform in their demanding work environment. This certificate program will facilitate the stated learning outcomes through education, training, and learning activities, and it is not restricted to registered nurses.
