OR Manager Conference offers perioperative research presentation opportunities

The 2024 OR Manager Conference Poster Gallery provides a forum for presenting completed research, in progress initiatives with preliminary results, or a new approach to a concept to solve a problem related to perioperative leadership. We strive to promote communication and collaborative research among nurses, provide a setting for exchange of information and lessons learned, and explore advances in perioperative clinical practice.

Researchers investigating issues related to the perioperative leadership role are encouraged to submit their findings for presentation by July 30, 2024. We are seeking research presentation proposals related to the following categories:

• Sterilization & Infection Prevention
• Staff/Patient Safety
• Patient Education/Pre-Op
• PACU/Post-Op
• Process Improvement
• Staffing/Training

The Poster Gallery will be open during all Periop Networking & Innovation Hub (formerly called the exhibit hall) hours. Poster Presentations will take place Monday, October 28, from 4:30-5:00 pm, and Tuesday, October 29, from 10:15-10:45 am.

2024 marks the third year of our poster research awards. Posters will be evaluated based on originality and relevance to perioperative leadership, and their ability to offer a new approach to a concept to solve a problem related to perioperative management and leadership. Presenters are encouraged to use graphs, charts, illustrations, and photographs to create a visually appealing poster to convey their message about the project.
