The PACU Manager Summit, launched in 2017, has doubled in size and will once again offer best practices for improving patient satisfaction and outcomes. Held in conjunction with the OR Manager Conference, the PACU Manager Summit is a 3-day program with an in-depth workshop and numerous breakout sessions.
Onboarding new hires and getting their skills up to speed is both challenging and critical for optimal patient care. During a half-day workshop on September 17, leaders from the Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Carson Tahoe Health will share ways to evaluate and measure current competencies and—equally important—to provide ongoing education.
Expert speakers in breakout sessions will offer pearls to better manage common issues in postanesthesia care, such as preadmission testing assessments, discharge instructions, regional blocks, malignant hyperthermia, and patient throughput.
As healthcare delivery shifts from a fee-for-service model to value-based care, it’s more important than ever to know how to coordinate the full continuum of patient care. The PACU Manager Summit provides an opportunity to do just that while earning 20.0 contact hours.
