Seven schools and hospitals have added nursing programs and partnerships to help tackle the US nursing shortage, the August 10 Becker’s Hospital Review reports.
- LSU Health New Orleans’ School of Nursing will offer three accelerated courses, beginning in January 2023.
- University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, is constructing a new College of Nursing and Public Health Excellence Building.
- Great Plains Health, North Platte, Nebraska, is partnering with the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing for accelerated clinicals in its BSN program.
- West Virginia Junior College, Morgantown, and Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, West Virginia, are collaborating on a hybrid nursing program.
- Herzing University, Milwaukee, recently launched a School of Nursing, encompassing a variety of degree pathways.
- Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee, is expanding its nursing program with three new degree options—Nursing Informatics, Nursing Leadership, and Nursing Education.
- Klamath Community College, Klamath Falls, Oregon, added an LPN program.
