Nearly three-quarters of physicians and health plan executives say quality measures are too complex, making it difficult for physicians to achieve them in a survey by Quest Diagnostics and Inovalon.

Other findings include:

  • 65% of physicians don’t have all the patient information they need
  • 64% of physicians don’t have the tools needed to succeed in a value-based care system
  • 85% of physicians were “likely/very likely” to use a tool that provides on-demand, patient-specific data to identify gaps in quality, risk, and utilization as well as medical history insight in real-time clinical workflow.
