The Joint Commission, National Quality Forum accept patient safety, equity award applications

Applicants for the 2025 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards and the 2025 Bernard J. Tyson National Award for Excellence in Pursuit of Healthcare Equity have until March 31 to submit, according to a recent announcement from The Joint Commission. There is no cost to apply.

The Eisenberg Awards, presented in collaboration with the National Quality Forum (NQF), honor individuals and organizations across healthcare settings that have made significant contributions to improving patient safety, healthcare quality, and cost efficiency.

The Tyson Award, presented in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, recognizes healthcare organizations and their partners that have led initiatives to reduce health disparities in a measurable and sustained way.

Applicants interested in applying for both awards must submit separate applications for each.
