OR Manager of the Year optimizes leadership challenges

Paula Graling, DNP, RN, CNS, CNOR, NEA-BC FAAN, this year’s recipient of the OR Manager of the Year award, is the kind of leader who receives appreciation cards from co-workers saying, “Because of you things get done, things happen on time, and everything is better.” Evidence of her exemplary work and leadership is not only present in her colleagues’ admiration, but throughout her work overseeing five hospitals (91 ORs, six GI endoscopy suites, and one interventional pulmonary lab), approximately 1,000 total FTEs, and the support and direction she provides to five ambulatory surgery centers.
